Emergency Allotment (EA) Benefits
Provided that you are already receiving the maximum monthly benefit amount based on your household size, then you will not receive any additional benefits. But if you are not receiving the maximum benefit allotment for your household size, then you will receive extra food stamp benefits to bring your total monthly benefits to the maximum.
For example:
If you live in a household of 3 people and are currently receiving $425 in SNAP benefits per month, then you will receive an additional $84 in food stamp benefits. That’s because the maximum allotment amount for a household of three is $509 per month.
